Zverev crumbled under the pressure of expectations at his home tournament. Horrific performance from start to finish. Heads off to Cervantes, though. He took full advantage of Zverev's poor play.

At least Kohlschreiber faces thee challenger players until the semis, so the tournament not yet completely in ruins.

Expected comments, if not for me an expected result haha -- a bit concerning I guess that he lost this early, but mentality improves later on in the career anyway that maybe he will somehow handle this type of pressure in the future.

You hear that a lot but I don't think it's true. Tons of players were clutch when young and had that fade over time. Hewitt was the most extreme one, but true of Federer and Nadal to a lesser degree.

Hewitt's been playing the late stage of his career without a serve, hard to be clutch under those circumstances.

Zverev's inability to command the point with the forehand is a killer. Every game I watched from him I've noticed he has trouble accelerating neutral/short balls with the forehand.

His hometown event though, a different sort of pressure. Not everyone copes well with it (see Wawrinka!)
