Taking a set off Grassray and getting to #7 spot (tied with Thiem).
Seems justified.

Video feed from the bookie base:
"Raonic at 15 over Fed?"

Djokovic 1.80 I think its unrealistic. More like 2.40

People putting money on Raonic winning Wimbledon is exactly why bookies make so much money.

My dark horse pick for this tournament (ie outside the top 3) would be Cilic.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (5): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013, Geneva 2015, Sydney 2016 and Buenos Aires 2016 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 3 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

Please explain, does this mean if you bet 1 unit on Djokovic, you win back 1.82? And what's back/lay? thx

Yes. You get your unit back plus 0.82 units on top.
Lay means you bet against it (i.e. you are like the bookie)

Fed is not fully back and judging by his performance of late he is hardly favourite for any tournament.
But Federer has been so successful at Wimbledon with all the titles and Finals he's played. He surely knows a thing or two about how to win at SW19. So I'm not counting out Fed regardless of his form.

Back and lay is basically bet/sell if you think of a stock market.

So if you think Raonic will win the tournament, you can get him @ 15 (For every dollar you bet, if Raonic wins you get a total of 15 dollars back if he wins).

If you don't think Raonic will win the tournament, you can "sell" him @ 16.5 (For every 16.5 dollars you bet, you will get a total of 17.5 dollars back if he doesn't win (16.5 dollars you invested + 1 dollar))

Yeah I don't believe Raonic is 2x more likely to win Wimbledon than Kyrgios... which is what bookies are saying having Raonic @ 15 and Kyrgios @ 30

What does the number mean for lay? If you bet 1 unit that Raonic won't win Wimbledon and he indeed doesn't, you win 16.5 units? Please tell me this is not the case, or i'll start betting immediately...

Re: Raonic has moved ahead of 7x champ Federer with bookies for Wimbledon title

A lot of times the oddsmakers respond to the proportion of bets being made, and it makes sense that Raonic would be getting a few more dollars placed on him right now than Federer (strong tournament at Queens, coached by McEnroe, etc). If the two land in the same quarter I would consider Raonic to be the favourite, honestly. Still, it would be a close match, and Roger is tough to beat at Wimbledon, but health and slam readiness is still a big question with him for sure. Not too surprising.

I can't see anyone other than Djokovic or Murray winning this. My top 5 favourites would be.

Djokovic
Murray

Raonic
Federer
Kyrgios

No, it means if you put 15.5 units you get back 16.5 (your original 15.5 plus 1). So basically you can think of it like there are two people - one who puts down 1 unit on Raonic and another who puts down 15.5 against him and the winner takes the pot.
