ATP Prediction Game

If i can't post this delete it.

Come and play the ATP prediction game at

http://forums.delphiforums.com/wtatennisgame/start

ITS EASY AND FUN BUT WE NEED MORE PLAYERS

================================================== ====
Predictions will be made for all ATP events.
Unlike WTA tiers, the ATP runs on series'.
They are as follows:
GRANDSLAMS
TENNIS MASTERS SERIES
INTERNATIONAL SERIES GOLD
INTERNATIONAL SERIES

INTERNATIONAL GOLD
INTERNATIONAL SERIES TOURNAMENTS
QUARTER FINALS: 2 points each
SEMI FINALS: 4 points each
FINALS: 8 points

TENNIS MASTERS SERIES
R/O 16: 2 points each
QUARTER FINALS: 4 points each
SEMI FINALS: 8 points each
FINAL: 16 points

GRANDSLAM EVENTS
ROUND OF 16: 3 points each
QUARTER FINALS: 6 points each
SEMI FINALS: 12 points each
FINAL: 24 points

BONUS
BONUS POINTS ARE AWARDED WHEN A PLAYER CORRECTLY PREDICTS THE MATCH WINNER AND CORRECTLY PREDICTS THE FINAL SCORE OF THE MATCH. THE PREDICTOR RECIEVES DOUBLE POINTS FOR THAT PREDICTION.

BONUS ROUNDS

From time to time we may decide to make a certain round of a tournament a "Bonus Round". This means the following:

The points allocated for each correct prediction in that round will be doubled. PLUS, there is still the chance that a predictor may receive a BONUS by getting the correct score of a certain match.

These rounds will be announced in advance to give players a good opportunity of making a few extra points!

All predictors are given the opportunity to predict all events.

To become a member just post your predictions in the prediction folder and you will be added to the game. Insure you predict at least half an hour before that round of events is due to begin.

Please insure that all predictions are placed in the appropriate thread which will be located in the Prediction folder for that event.

Re: ATP Prediction Game

Thanks for creating this thread, sis. The one thing you forgot to mention is the ATP Casino. With the Casino, you have the option of betting any number of your total points on any single player in the event (or even multiple players, if you feel like it). If the player wins that week, you win all those cheap, easy points that you bet; if not, you'll lose all the points. The Casino will be open for the rest of the year for every event, no matter how small. But remember, Casino bets are collected before the first match of the event, and none are counted after the tournament has started.

And guess who's been #1 in the game since last April? That's right, yours truly.

Re: ATP Prediction Game

Btw, if you are going to start, you should do it real soon while the season is young and all the players have relatively few points. Now is a good time to begin since Slams are worth so much.

Re: ATP Prediction Game

Slams are worth 24 pts per round and TMS events 16 pts per round.

So there are so many points still up for grabs.

Haha, well at least I wasn't like those other folk who started betting ALL 1,500 of their points on one player in TMS Paris. They really had me scared for a while, but fortunately Henman came up with the unlikely win.

But I definitely have to credit Agassi for giving me a sweet 250 points for winning Houston Clay Courts. And, boy, did he come close to losing in the finals. He was my rock.

Re: ATP Prediction Game

WyverN what did u register yourself as. WOndering if i saw u lurking in the shadows.

I am with Leo come on guys A grand slam is worth 24 pts per round which is a sizable chunk head start u are giving people.

I want to see at least 30 players by end of February.

I may be dreaming but it would be cool to get that many with about 19-20 regulars.
