As Federer is struggling to hold serve in the second set:

JMac: This is Bruce Wayne. Got to wait for Batman.

Eurosport commentator, not sure who:

"That's a sexy second serve" - on Roger coming with an ace in an important moment.

Re: Commentary at its best

i liked the Becker McEnroe combo during the Federer vs. Andreev match, because they actually talked about tennis a lot (vs. reading bios).

the person who has finally equalled drysdale for me is courrier. when did he turn into such a d. bag?

Good Lord, that's like Andrew Castle cranked up to 11.

Tell me, are Bulgarians a bit mental? I had a Bulgarian friend of a friend who got on a plane to Holland and tried to open the doors half way through. Of all the Bulgarians I've known it's 1/1 crazies!

Re: Commentary at its best

ES France doesn't own the rights anymore for the live coverage of the mens tournament but they show tape delays in the morning.

So this morning I was watching Roddick-Djokovic. You probably know that Andy served 2 DF in a row at 5-4 in the 4th.

Commentator: "This second double fault was a very bad tactical choice" :retard: Because you know sometimes DF can be a good strategy!

And at the end of the match (it was not live commentary and they were going to show the other QF after that), he said: "Djokovic was the finalist last year, but it will be another story to reach the final this year. He will now face... the winner of Federer-Muller."
Way to keep the tv viewers in suspense concerning the winner of this match.

well not all of us are mental. I know quite crazy and fairly normal ones, it depends on the charecter of the personality, not the nationality. about our commentators-some of them are pathetic and don't know what they are talking about. There's one who makes up tennis terms like 'overpercentage' or 'dropped shot', 'sovereign play' which in fact don't exist in the language. it sounds pretty funny. He's a fan of Murray and Djocovic, used to be a fan of Marat as well. He's biased, one can tell easily from his comments

Re: Commentary at its best

Jason Goodall was on fire today even before the Fish-Gasquet match started.

The guy with him, Chris somebody, was saying how Fish got married recently and maybe his good results this year were in part from him maturing as a person.
Goodall: And now being married he knows he has to bring home some money.

Roddick was in the crowd watching Fish
Goodall: Is there a bromance in the making here, Chris?

They showed Fish's new wife in the crowd.
Goodall: She looks like a happy new bride. As are most new brides. But, it's all downhill from there unfortunately.
