Re: Commentary at its best

The guy who does the commentary for Betfair is hilarious, but not sure if he means it to be funny.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

During the Nadal-Bracciali match:

"Well the crowd seems to be enjoying the match" (at that instant the camera shows a woman yawning; not just a little yawn, her mouth opened like a hipppotamus ) "...although it's a bit late in the day."

They really got into when volandri won though!

There was a moment where they showed a fan of nadals but i was doing something, anyway, heard the commentator say "well...rafa fans come in all shapes and sizes" I wonder what he/she looked like!

I wasn't looking at that moment either, but I got the impression it was someone dressed exactly like Nadal.

Jason Goodall in the PMK and Starace match.

Davydenko was showing a bit of emotion. Goodall said "He hasn't been this distraught since the age of 13, when he found out he was losing his hair".

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Yup.
At the beginning of the match against Youzhny, they showed a little boy (about 8 years old) dressed like Nadal.
Somewhere during the match, they showed a man (in his 40s, I think) dressed like Nadal.
So, I'm guessing that this is why they said "they come in all shapes and sizes"

Re: Commentary at its best

Robbie Koening in the Calleri vs. Hewitt match after Calleri slaps his racquet on this thigh.

"I hope the racquet is alright, there is plenty of chicken on those bones", he was making reference to Calleri's thighs.

Todd Perry and Koening during the Gaudio match, they weren't exactly pro-Chryst.

"The umpire is Norm Chryst" says Koening. Perry says "Better to have Norm as an umpire on a claycourt than a hardcourt". Then they bag Norm when he missed a fault that was 1m long.

After that they criticised Chryst and Perry said "Yes, I know I had 6 hours and 9 minutes of Norm Chryst at Wimbledon and know what he's like".

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Well, how could you not notice. I mean Norm wouldn't, but he is Norm.
