Some of these commentators should be paid to shut up.

That's just so fanboyish and retarded it makes me physically angry. Why would someone who actually watches tennis think like that?

BTW, who's this guy (the younger voice)?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_m6rjYt_X0

He's the best tennis commentator I've heard, genuinely insighful, witty and entertaining at the same time.

Maybe you meant McMillan, whom is a good commentator.

The other one is Bradnum (British accent), one of the most awful commentators around.

Re: Commentary at its finest

Someone should tell Haber , to shut the hell up. From the first ball to the end of the match this guy keeps talking stats, stats, stats, I don't think he even watches the match, he must google all this. =Really looked forward to watching the Olympic tennis on Bravo, until I heard his voice 7am Sat morning. Tennis Channel usually has him doing women's matches, which I don't watch, so don't have to listen to him.

Re: Commentary at its finest

brett haber is a califonia fox sports guy, so he really doesn't know his tennis that well. He's a pretty boy, and tries to sound like a guru when he usually just comes off as being a prick.

My lol for this tourny so far is Pat O'Brien introducing Tsonga as "konga." Wertheim immediately corrected him, which he probably was whipped for later.

Re: Commentary at its finest

Anyone watching the BBC coverage will be familiar with Andrew Cotter. The Scottish guy with the dreadful voice and accent who is absolutely full of clichés and redundant musings of the score.

I really dislike John Lloyd and Andrew Castle, especially when they're together, but I've never wished more for a "no commentary" option more than when listening to this guy.

Henman: "We all know that Andy Murray is at his best when he's proactive in the baseline rallies"...

What kind of tea are you drinking these days, Tim?

Really? He talks as much drivel as most commentators, but I don't find anything wrong with either his voice or his accent (and no, I'm not Scottish).

Re: Commentary at its finest

Gimelstob, in his ever-annoying obsequious cheerleader mode for American men, yelled during the Isner-Tipsarevic match, "that was a terrible call, Isner's ball was clearly in, you could see the chalk fly."

There is no chalk at Wimbledon, the lines are painted. It was probably dirt that flew, meaning the ball was out. Geezz ...

Lolwut? I've seen chalk fly many times, at least on the service lines...

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.
Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

It's titanium pigment, but it still flies like chalk.

Re: Commentary at its finest

Bravo tennis commentators

Jon Wertheim, Justin Gimelstob, and Pat O'Brien

Those 3 make Ted Robinson look like Frew McMillan.

Renae Stubbs is at least decent.
