Re: Commentary at its finest

Today during a recap of the Stepanek-Karlovic match on Sport + (french sports channel), this amazing gem, the like of which you probably won't see before a long long time :

"Karlovic hit an amazing 78 aces during this match. But of course 78 aces are a lot easier to return on clay compared to on a fast surface, so Radek Stepanek was actually not bothered at all."

Well I know every time I return an ace on clay, I'm thoroughly impressed..

That is a classic..

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS

With this logic I could be a commentator.

This is classy.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Oopsie.
Best one I read in quite a long time.

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

"The Storm Before The Calm"

Re: Commentary at its finest

Goodall on Fognini " He isn't short of confidence and will strut around" then about Schuettler. "I thought he retired, he must be 40 years old".

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Commentary at its finest

More Fognini love.

Konig : Watch the facial expressions from Fognini, some funny ones and the strutting.

Goodall : He is 5 foot nothing, the ATP guide said he is 5'10. He has been fudging the numbers.

The Fog.

"He is the kind of guy, who winds the opposition up, there are a few others, but he is up near the top.

Adler and Goodall were bored during the week. They starting going on about the music and somehow Adler asked Goodall "Do you like Crowded House". Goodall, emphatically says no "way too soft for me".

Goodall and Adler talking about Nadal's shorts.

Goodall : Do you like Nadal's shorts?
Adler : No, they should be worn on the beaches of Malibu.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
