Re: Commentary at its finest

BG, Fowler, and Cahill were interviewing Federer on ESPN2. They asked him if he was going to kick back and watch the other semifinal tonight, to which he replied, "Well yeah, if you're going to show it."

Thank you for pointing that out, Roger.

Goodalls nickname for Federer: monogrammed maestro.

Koening about Djokovic's level of play in the seconds set against Federer --> "tighter than a taxman's purse"

Did the tracker pull get more spectators?

UGH! I had to watch the match on mute.

Ian Eagle should stick to commentating basketball games - he's much better at it. I don't like listening to Fernandez during a Fed match - really biased (even if I do like Fed!). I have the same complaints about Carillo as everyone else - loud and annoying!!! Her laugh is so annoying it makes me want to put a gun to my head!

Fernandez has to kiss his ass. Her husband is his manager. If she even thought about bruising Federego, he would fire her husband or cry one.

+1 - OMG that was the worst commentary I've heard in years. I just wish the major networks would just stay out of tennis and leave it to espn and Tennis Channel. Actually I wish Espn would stay out of it too and leave it all to TTC. But I realize many people don't get TTC so that would suck for them.

I'm just really afraid they are going to screw up the USO with them splitting it. USA Network did a great job and would stay on live for 14 hours a day if needed. Just hoping we get the same kind of dedication out of the clowns at espn. NO TAPE DELAYS...

I'd take them any day over that clown today. Shiras is actually pretty good. At least he played the tour. Katrina, she'd not make their USO crew. They are bringing in Connors. That should be interesting. I've never heard him commentate over long periods of time.
Espn will have McEnroe this year.

As long as they provide solid coverage, that's the main thing that counts to me. I bitched about USA at the time, now I may regret it and wish they were back.
