Re: Commentary at its finest

Brad Gilbert and Darren Cahill are currently constructing a shrine to Muzza in this match. They are both so in love with Muzza that it is unbearable. At least Cahill recognizes a few of the good that Kolya is trying to do. The number of digs that Chris Fowler, Gilbert and Cahill are taking at Federer is ridiculous.

He really doesn't understand the players' games at all. It's time for ESPN to leave him to American football. No, it's long past.
Sometimes I like him okay, but I do think he is too dismissive of Davydenko. Also, he and BG and Cahill were talking about how Federer said that he had expected Murray to have more success at majors already. Then Fowler said something like, "It's not like Federer was winning majors when he was 21 or 22." Uh...hadn't he won three majors before he turned 23?

Chris Fowler, re Mirka and Roger not having spent a night apart for the past 3 years: I don't see Kim Gilbert [Brad's wife] signing on for three straight years of no nights apart.

Re: Commentary at its finest

Doug Adler on Nadal asking about an out call. "How can you ask a guy for confirmation, when he is wearing sunglasses at night time"

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Commentary at its finest

Del Potro hits a smash on top of the net that lands 3 feet away from Nadal and Doug Adler (i think) says:

WHAT'S HE DOING?!
WHAT'S HE DOING?!?!

jeez...

PLAYS A WONDERFUL POINT! DOESN'T NEED TO BE SUPERMAN!

Yes, it was Adler.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Sam Smith saying she was surprised about Del Potro because she thought he'd be the one doing all the running in the match and that Nadal was more likely to be bossing the points.

He used to be a grinder, but far from that now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Sam Smith looks like a 14 year old boy from the chess club.

Missed the full conversation but Goddall suggested Carlos Bernardes could "Do with losing a few pounds".

Re: Commentary at its finest

Kroening asked Goodall, "Can Del Potro be #1?", Goodall says, straight away "No chance".

Then goes into a five minute rant about Andy Murray. Del Potro is 20 years old, has a Grand Slam SF to his name and now an AMS final.
