Murray going for the most sets lost in a Slam record?
I was looking for some info and stumbled upon an interesting thread and record that hasn't been broken as far as I remember:
@Litotes
It's probably too soon to start talking about this. However, Murray dropped 4/4 possible sets.
In the next round he's playing Karlovic who's serving great. At least one tiebreak is likely.
R4 is Isner/Gabashvili. I think Isner can also take a set, but Gaba has the potential to really trouble Murray when he's on fire.
QF. Nishikori/Kyrgios. Nishikori can take anyone to 5 sets here, imo. Kyrgios would also be a threat.
SF Only Wawrinka can push him to 5 in the semis, me thinks.
F Djokovic/Nadal - Obviously, he wouldn't be a favorite here.
For the record, he'll probably need to do two things. Keep playing pretty shitty tennis and reach the F in the same time. Losing the F would allow him to lose the maximum 15 sets in a Slam.
Possible?

Also found out on tennis warehouse that Lapentti lost 12 sets at the '99 AO. Checked it out and it's true. He eventually lost to Enquist in the semifinal.
