PDorn hardly lost a point on serve in the 1st set, had 4 different points to win the set on Andy's serve, but Andy came up with some big serves at the right time. After the first set, it was roll time.

Andy goes up against Gonzo next in a rematch of their DC match. For some reason, the gonzo/flip match was the first one scheduled and the Roddick/Pdorn the last one.

Andy better step it up big time, i am not liking that he only won 1/17 returns in the 1st set. I know that Andy and returns go together like onions and chocolate but that is still an extremely poor % Andy

I am really happy for Andy. I didn't see the match...was Andy standing way behind the baseline?

I hope he can beat Gonzalez tomorrow. But it is going to be a really tough match. Gonzo is good on grass.

Andy

That's all I have to say on the matter, the fact Andy has won 2 straight matches has left me somewhat speechless.

he won 2 straight matches in the last tourney he played in where he was healthy

However, he had to come up with good stuff when it mattered and he had to raise his level when it got tight and he did THAT twice in a row, and THAT is what leaves me somewhat speechless (yet not at all optimistic about what's to come )
