Last year he was up a set on Bjorkman in the 2nd round of Wimbledon and seemed to be on track to an easy win but he had to retire. I believe it was his wrist. It continued to bother him the rest of the summer.

I didn't mind that he lost, though, because it at least opened up the draw for Misha to make the Round of 16.

But this year I want Davydenko to make the quarters.

Yes. He trained in the U.S. as a junior (at John Newcombe's academy) & won the Orange Bowl 14s in 1999.

He also defeated James Blake in the first round of San Jose in February.
