Double bageling dr.Karlovic is perfect foor the confidence.

Beautifully played TBs, 0 and 2, smart, solid mentally...great match for Grigor.

Hopefully this type of tennis doesn't break his rhythm for a final, which will be completely different, with many long rallies.

Physical freshness is an advantage though.

Aide!

Terrible serving from Ivo in tiebreaks.

There was nothing beautiful about those tiebreaks, it was Karlovic being his usual fraudulent self in tiebreaks

there were many smart returns, guessing sides and even return winner from first serve.

Ivo choked indeed, but making a DF at 0-6 is not deciding the match.

Most was actually made and not given.

But it doesn't really matter. The match with Schwartzman will be interesting. If Dimitrov loses - useless generation talentless mug. If he wins - challenger journeyman gave it away.

..so it doesn't really matter..

Given the massive gap between the two in terms of TB clutchness, the result was pretty much NID, but Ivo was absolute tragic in the TB's. You wonder what's the point of having such a lethal serve when he's seemingly contractually forbidden to hit it properly in TBs anyway. He DF'd three times in the whole match, and all of them came in the TBs.

It took 7 full sets and 5 more games, but Dimitrov finally understood Karlovic's serve is almost impossible to return inside the court. He just took two steps back starting from the Ivo's 5-6 service game and after that Grigor was making a lot more returns.

I don't get it why Dimitrov can't see those obvious things. Either his coaches don't tell him or he doesn't listen too.

Hopefully he wins the tournament this time. He already wasted 260 easy points this year by losing Sydney and Delray.

11-2 TB record in 2016.

Imposible for his returning level, and his mediocre OHBH.

Well done by Grigor, you don't bagel the Doctor in a TB that often. Should win the title tomorrow.

Well done, Grigor! It's a good win although Karlovic's performance in the match was poor even for his standards.
