*waves Spanish flag*

Oh wait... I'm not Spanish. That's okay. I'll flag wave anyways, because I like making no sense whatsoever.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Dominating nations in tennis (in the past decade)

Some interesting facts:

Record of titles

Country: USA '94
followed by USA '95

Player: Muster '95 (12 titles )
followed by Sampras '94 (10 titles)

USA's worst year: 2000 (only 4 titles)
Spain's worst year: 1995 (only 4 titles. Muster's amazing season prevented the spaniards from winning more claycourt tourneys)

Fading countries: Germany and Sweden. They used to be a force in men's tennis several years ago, but not any longer

Emerging countries: Argentina (15 titles in the past 2 years)

Re: Dominating nations in tennis (in the past decade)

Well that took me a while. There could be some mistakes, so I apologize for them.

USA has won 149 titles, followed by Spain's 109

Spain has more players in the top 100

However USA's Grand Slam record is just unbeatable

Interesting. USA and Spain seem to be the two leading nations in the past decade.

Djokovic // Del Potro // Paire // Thiem // M. Zverev // Youzhny
Coric // Khachanov // Donaldson // A. Zverev // Bublik
Ferrero // Rafter

Indeed.

Spain has done it by having many half decent players, while the US has done it on the back of two alltime greats.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.
