Nadal The Apache

Nadal may be a spaniard, but I realised that you would better think about him as some indian playing tennis. He plays like the Commanche or the Apache from American movies would play. Every single point he plays to take your sculp, and his cellebrations fit perfectly. He even physicaly looks like an indian!

Re: Nadal The Apache

Please indulge my geekiness:

Part of the Spanish population's genealogy would include Aztec and Arabian (Moors) blood, the former coming from intermarriages with Mexican people (Aztec descent) and the latter from the years that Arab Moors ruled Spain. So yeah, I guess it would be possible that the Nadals or Parreras would have descended from either. (Hence the unconventional "Native American" appearance of Rafa).

Thank you.

lol, I think Rafa might find this convo a tad bit racist. I like Rafa because of the way he plays not because the color of skin.

Re: Nadal The Apache

haha I hope not. I was just offering some geeky historical info. it doesn't matter where he descended from. He's a great tennis player in his own right.

Re: Nadal The Apache

You know, you make that post believing you're really funny and very cool... and you just retract yourself. Yeah, Nadal is a mapache but he has more class on his toe than you will have on your entire life. Live with that!

Here in Spain we are all Africans who live in the dessert hunting lions. Black power man black power! Hunting lions is funnier than having tea at 6 o'clock.

Para siempre Rafa

There couldn't of been back then (in the time table we seem to have been given) It would not have been seen as a good thing to intermarry with a "savage heathen", unless there might have been aztecs and/or mayas going over as servants/slaves and then had children... but I don't think I've actually heard of that...

Nowadays, it could happen. Although few people are pure aztec/maya in Mexico . Most people are mestizo ( a mix of european and indiginous indian), of european descent, and then a small percentage of african, asian, etc. As my Spanish teacher once told me: Mexicans are like the coffee we love so much :cafe con leche, a little bit of coffee with lots of milk!
