Hey, do you remember when Andre lost to rafter in the sf of Wimbledon and dissed the lineswoman in the post match interview? Any thoughts on that?

Re: Laws of MTF

Don't know if this is a law yet but:

Fans of a certain player has to post quotes of celebs/commentators praising that player. They also post quotes by celebs/commentators dissing a player they hate.

Example:

"Tiger Woods says Federer is a gentle genious." posted by a Roger fan.

"Sampras says Nadal is no competition for Federer." by Roger fan.

Wimbledon Upsets:
Safin def. Djokovic 6-4, 7-6, 6-2
Schuettler def. Blake 6-3, 6-7, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4
Kudryavtseva def. Sharapova 6-2, 6-4
Tipsarevic def. Roddick 6-7, 7-5, 6-4, 7-6
Dancevic def. Nalbandian 6-4, 6-2, 6-4
Zheng def. Ivanovic 6-1, 6-4
Tanasugarn def. Jankovic 6-3, 6-2
Radwanska def. Kuznetsova 6-4, 1-6, 7-5

Re: Laws of MTF

long time lurker and this thread is spot on.
it's important to know how to laugh at oneself, no?

It's just you don't want to have a lot of expectations, because when you start to have a lot of expectations you just end up losing in the third round to God knows who. ~Marat Safin, summarizing his career

No comment:
Mawie: he kinda reminds me of me, he feels obligated to have every sentence be a joke
Maggie Tulliver: and he takes his clothes off when he sees a camera
Maggie Tulliver: it's a little pathetic
Maggie Tulliver: it's like his first reaction

Law 30: Never bash/complain against a chilean player, MTF poster or another chilean person, because there always will be another chilean(s) who will defend it to death.

A post that deserves to be on MTF Hall of Fame soon:

Re: Laws of MTF

everybody loves marat!

Marat: Last question: what do you think of me? Dinara: You are my god! When you play, I love
to see you. When you lose, I am even sadder than when it is me. When you are wounded, I suffer.
When you speak to me, I drink your words. When you come to see me playing, I am with the angels.

Re: Laws of MTF

Shouldn't there be a law for people in here that automatically any draw that comes out is either fixed or against their favourite player.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

This is true. I also love how some of the Federer fans make a huge deal out of Roger's supposedly "tough" draws while whining about Rafa's supposed "cakewalks."

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."
