Fed wins 26th consecutive GS match - surpasses Sampras and Connors

He is now 3 behind his idol Rod Laver. Amazing achievement!

Need ideas for a new signature...

You will be surprised at how much he gives a "fuck" about in terms of statistics.

If he gets 28, he'll pass Laver, because no matter how tired he is, I don't see him losing second round in Wimbledon. Silly ATP front page is using the phrase "career Grand Slam". Technically true, but he's going for a lot more than that.

Fan of: Federer Safin Haas Nadal Santoro Agassi Tursunov's blog

"I couldn't even tell you who the No. 1 ranked tennis player in the world is right now," Federer said. "It's probably me, still. It is, isn't it?" The Onion

Russophilic member of the MTF Perv Squad--objectifying Tarpischev, Kafelnikov, and Volkov like whoa.

That's a fantastic feat!

'I'd like to be in his shoes for one day,' says Mats Wilander, 'to know what it feels like to play that way.'

You don't find the career slam an important feat? I'm sure Edberg still regrets not closing out Chang in '89 RG final.

Of course it's an important feat but the fact that Federer will also have a non-calendar slam makes it hugely more impressive.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game
