I could be wrong but I think Novak is going to skip Madrid again. He told the media he is going to take an extended break after losing early in Monte Carlo. The Spanish tennis fans are cruel to Novak I can see him giving Madrid a pass. Also since the ATP allows players to skip one masters I can see him not competing again until Rome.

He will be screwed for USO if he does. Wonder what's the fine if he skips mandatory Masters? He can always GTFO in the first round though.

He never had a prob. with spanish fans, crowd or anything like that.... !!! so please !

There was just one match, with Dimitrov that was played very late (around midnight) and the crowd was full of bulgarian community (at the time, the largest community iin madrid) , who were quite obnoxious, loud ,yelling + some insults, so Novak lost his temper and shouted at them . End of story.

He wont skip it, but he will tank it too. I tought (and wrote here) that he will tank Miami in order to get some rest. Instead, he tanked MC (Miami has special meaning for him probably, being the first big tournament he won) and probably will Madrid, in order to peak after Rome, at RG-Wimbledon-OG combo. Too long to stretch good form for 4 months (april-july). 2.5 months is more realistic

I feel horny. Let's make a thread about it.

Djokovic said he's very tired (especially mentally) and is looking forward to rest from tennis. It's good that he will recharge his batteries before this gruelling summer (starting with RG). I don't think he needs too many of preparation tournaments - let's remember that he won 3 Wimbledons (and some AOs) without any tournament before. Rome is a lock but we will see If he'll play Madrid. He will decide it in the last moment I think. IMO it's 60-70 percent chance that he'll play there.

It won't be because of Spanish fans, that's a ridiculous statement. The clay in Madrid plays faster due to high altitude and Faker can't play on faster surfaces which is why he will give an excuse and opt out to avoid yet another embarrassing loss.

Let me see

Madrid 2011 DJOKOVIC NADAL 7/5 6/4
Madrid 2009 NADAL DJOKOVIC 3/6 7/6 (7/5) 7/6 (11/9)

But you have surely an explanation about it or you obviously discovered tennis in 2016.

Then I am 95% sure he will skip Madrid.

One month off will be perfect for a 2013 Nadal-like rejuvenation.

He should've skipped Miami and Madrid. Instead he'll end up playing both. He should just win Rome and RG. But yea I think Dj has to win Rome now and ideally beat dull in straights to shut him out.

I think dull will win his 10th RG. It's horrible for Fed fans either way. Don't mind Dj winning RG and doing the NCGS which I don't think is a record but his tards will be unbearable. Nadaltards are no less though but they're not as disrespectful of Fed as croctards are imo.

If Djokovic does play, he will have a chance of beating Nadal, but if he doesn't beat Nadal, makes things even worse for Djokovic.
He'll beat Nadal, he is equally better on faster clay as on slower one, though the surface in Rome really suits his game as well, no wonder he won the event like 2 times in recent years.

This time Djokovic is planning well everything for his quest for RG trophy. There will be no one to stop him this time!

Murray said he and Novak were schedule to practice together in Madrid, so I think it's safe to say Novak is going to play.

He can skip a couple of mandatory Masters now, due to age, number of years active, matches played etc. It may even be 3?
Certainly skipping one of those summer masters may be a good idea.
But Madrid right now he needs to keep playing, and had it as his insurance should he have got an early exit in Monte Carlo, so now he takes it.

BBecker was scouting at Nadal/Wawrinka ' match and Federer/Tsonga'one. Novak' loss against Vesely was on purpose to take a bit of rest and doing so to give chance to other players to win.So BBecker could see how some players could play esp ones who could defeat Djokovic or could give him some problems at FO. Obviously they do not like to have the same problems like last year.
When Wawrinka surprised him. I am sure Federer knows it very well. Definitely Nadal can surprise Djokovic with NOTHING with his game . French players can not do anything . But only players are Federer and Wawrinka. So they need to show lesser of their games before FO.
Haha good try. Tankovic, doubt it. He lives in Mc. People shouting veseley now. Of course he wanted to win. Good try though. :)

You are obviously trolling here, but seeing your other started thread yesterday, it is a very bad trend.
Even some of you better Fedaltards trying to hype Nadal, when there is not enough stuff to hype for.

Come back if Nadal will win Madrid or Rome, then it would make sense. Not before.
