You mean best finals...which would probably prevent it from being the best tournament as a whole, since the two finals people would have then basically carved everyone else to pieces.

I find it hard to judge a tournament as a whole. Do you only measure good matches, or do crappy matches take away from the tournament? What about something like Wimbly 2001 that hugely benefitted from Goran's run/Sampras' dethroning, but was marred by rain? Its easier for me to weigh in on matches.

mmm i dnt know
for me the best matches and tourneys are the ones when the non-obvious-to-win players beat the top players in a 3-5 set match xD
i like GS to be full of surprises so for me it would be awsome if some1 manages to beat nadal or fed in the final or before!
then maybe it would be the best F.O ever
but still a few matches to watch so u never it may happen

My favourite GS events in recent memory are:

AO '05 - Good tournament and simply great match between Fed and Safin.
US Open '05 - Fantastic tournament. Best match. Blake - Agassi
Wimby '01 - Many great matches. Fed - Sampras, Tim - Goran and Rafter - Goran.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

No.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
