Will we have 1, 2, 3, 4 in the semi's?

Will we have all of the worlds top four players in the semi finals? Ljubicic is the only guy who seemed unlikely to reach the quarters at the start of the event and now he has an unseeded player out of the top 50 in his quarter it is certainly possible that he may reach the semi's most likely to join Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer. What of Nalbandian? He is favourite to do it but Kolya Davydenko is in his way and will not budge easily.

What does MTF think?

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Personally I think Davydenko will spoil it by taking out Nalby.

I would love to see that happen as well, but Nalbandian is most uncertain to make it 'cause Davydenko is in great form!

Because I think that it would be neat for it to happen for the first time in more than 20 years. I think that Federer and Nadal have been the best on clay this season so I want them to reach at least the semis. Even though Nalby is a big sour puss and choker- I think that he is the current player with the most talent who has not won a GS so would love to see him in the final four. And I would love for Ivan to reach his first GS semifinal. I like him and would like for 2006 to be the year where he gets rid of the rep of someone who does not do well in GS.

I like a lot of players.

I second that!
It would be very exciting.

That would be great. I wonder if it ever happened at RG.

Last time was in 1984 or 1985- when I think it was McEnroe, Lendl, Connors and Wilander.

I like a lot of players.

Re: Will we have 1, 2, 3, 4 in the semi's?

I am going for 3 of the 4. It seems that this year either the court surface or balls have ensured the best players are winning or that mens tennis lacks depth; they used to say this about women's tennis.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
