That's good from Federer.

And not so good from Nadal.

Re: RG Quarterfinalists: Time on court

Out of Nadal's 12h 16min, around 8h-8.5h were in the last 3 days against PHM & Hewitt...

Nadal always takes longer than most other players...certainly longer than Federer, yet it never affects him one bit. So I wouldn't read a lot into this. Thanks for the figures though.

I think that is due to the pace he plays at between points. That's part of the reason I tape his matches and play them later, or watch them while I am actually doing something else, plenty of time between points to get things done

Same here. I tried watching the first set today with nothing else in hand but it was so irritating I started filing some papers!

Yep Though I must say I couldn't miss a point of THAT PHM match.

Re: RG Quarterfinalists: Time on court

No one seemed to mention that 4 of the players are in the top 4. For the French Open this is huge becasue usually top players like roddick and hewitt don't do too well at this event. But these two are no longer in the top 4. In semis maybe 3 of the players may be in top 3.

Life is empty and meaningless. It is in emptiness that we create possibilities for extraordinary results

I wouldn't worry about Rafa. He seemed fine today.

Actually we're used to Nadal winning much more comfortably on clay than he has been this past week. Look at both his and Federer's roads to the Rome final, for instance. Nadal breezed all the way through while Federer struggled more. But that's not the case so far in Paris.

Last time it happend was in 1985:

1. John McEnroe
2. Ivan Lendl
3. Jimmy Connors
4. Mats Wilander

Wilander over Mac and Lendl over Conners in the semis, then Wilander beat Lendl in the final

Re: RG Quarterfinalists: Time on court

Actually that is very intresting becuase time on court is very important. Nadal have spend quite some time on court and if he should face Federer he suerly needs to be fit.
I know that Nadal is very strong and fit but he is human and that will affect him if he reaches the Final.

Didn't it happen during the 2005 Australian Open? Or am I retarded. Safin vs Federer and Roddick vs Hewitt, weren't they the top 4 players in the world at that time? I know at least Federer, Roddick and Hewitt were, it's Safin who I'm not entirely sure of.
