Re: Benneteau def. Martin 5-1 ret. in to 1/4

Very sad ending to this match

GUGA ON CLAY = MOZART

KING FEDERER

GAUDIOSAFINGASQUET

"It felt like you're in the Sahara and you just see the hills and there's no ending" (Kevin Kim, after being asked what it was like playing against Rafael Nadal in the 2006 French Open)

Re: Benneteau def. Martin 5-1 ret. into 1/4

His mother dies days before the AO and he has to retire with injury problems at the Slam on his favourite surface.

Not the best of luck for Beto and hope the back gets better.

Benneteau wouldn't want to win this way, but he is in the QF now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Poor Beto

But I'm am very very very happy for Julien. Who would have thought Benneteau actually can be.... the best player for France in this Slam (ew, hopefully not... )

As if the guy hasn't had enough bad luck this year

This was his big chance for a GS quarter final. Now he should go rest up and get better really soon!!

Beto

Fortunately, you are only Sylvester.

It's likely he won't come, in 5 years of tournament's history NONE of defending champions appeared the next year
