Yes, I tend to agree with this.
Personally, it's much easier for me to watch tennis if I just sit back, relax and enjoy the tennis instead of obsessing over one player and hating every other player who can potentially be a huge threat to him.
Sure, I can get quite passionate when I watch tennis but I can't say that hatred or even dislike is an emotion that's in the mix.
Federer, well I find it very hard to believe that anybody who really loves tennis would hate that guy. His personality may not be everybody's taste but purely analysing him on his tennis, how can you hate or dislike that guy? I remember when he first started to dominate - I tend to find domination boring in sports (I'm a Schumi fan and his very dominant season a few years back was utterly boring for me, I prefer it when he has some serious competition) - I found him a bit boring to watch (I usually prefer sports people who show a bit more fire) but I decided to sit down and pay close attention to some of his matches and...well, it's beyond me how you can dislike him as a tennis player.
Nadal, the word 'elegance' is not really a word that first pops into your head when you watch him (like with Federer) but does that really have to be? Some of the shots he pulls of are just as artistic to me, quite frankly, but in a very different way than with Federer. This man is 100% pure emotion on the court and very exciting to watch + he seems to have a great personality. How can you hate or dislike that guy?
If the two have to play against each other, my support clearly goes to Nadal but I'm not sitting here going all
But what I find truly pathetic
(let me just borrow bad gambler's word here
) is that many posters here really find the most silly reasons to justify their unreasonable hatred/dislike towards one player and what's even more pathetic is that they actually seem convinced of the validity of these silly reasons (they're just nitpicking to justify their own unreasonable hatred IMO).
