The Pig vs The Potato... who will win?

Yes yes I know the Mathieu match is not over yet but Mathieu is giving it his all and barely keeping afloat so it's pretty evident Nadal will beat him.

I say Nadal will rip Hewitt a new one too- 3 sets.

I think this thread is premature. Rafa is having a completely miserable break point conversion rate and that will not bode him well.

I like a lot of players.

Well, that's what he should be doing. Giving his all. That's how upsets happen.

1-0 Mathieu

Doesn't matter- one and a half hours just to win the first set Mathieu must be exhausted. He can't play any better than he has been and I don't see how he will be able to keep his intensity up.

Rafa will only get more determined. The next three sets will be 6-1,6-0,6-2 to Nadal

I don't understand how you can say that..........Mathieu played extremely well on those break points.......he went for winners, he didn't wait on Nadal to make errors. Anyway, Mathieu cannot keep up this level of play and I'm sure Nadal knows this..........

This thread is premature. King Nadal is having a hard time with Mathiew.

OK, so i was wrong about the margin of the last three sets but still my prediction came true.

So, now we can finally begin the discussion (as if we really need one as it's a no brainer).

Damn you beat me to it.

Hewitt seems to be having a great tournament and I love idea of the matchup of his intensity against Nadal's. As to whether or not it will turn out to be a good match - I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully we'll get another surprisingly good one like today's.

Re: The Pig vs The Potato... who will win?

After watching Mathieu-Nadal match, I think Hewitt definitely has a chance.
But I say Nadal in five.

Re: The Pig vs The Potato... who will win?

Should be the pig, BUT how well will Rafael recover from his match today.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

I don't think that should be a problem for him- he can just keep going and going and going.... etc.

Mathieu has definitely given Rafa a workout. Hewitt has a chance - at least I like to think that.

in love with an idiot
