Re: (3) David Nalbandian def. Dmitry Tursunov 2-6, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 6-4

Certain props to both players - Tursunov for pushing Nalbandian all the way on a surface that he doesn't like, Nalbandian for coming back from two sets down.

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Great fight Nalby!!!

After the first 2 sets, i thought he was done for, but he proved me wrong by fighting to the end.
I thought he was going to choke at the end, but luckily he pulled trough.

He will face Vassallo Arguello in the fourth round

Dima he did great and totally surprised me, now he has to think about Wimbledon, where i feel he will make a great showing.

It was too much to expect Dima to win the match over five sets. He should have finished the match in three.

Nalby

Need ideas for a new signature...

I think Dmitry has proved this week that he is not a clay court clown.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 19 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 26 Master Series.
Nadal 15 GS, 30 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 12 GS, 5 Year End Masters, 30 Master Series.

Great fight, David!.....really well played by Tursunov, It really surprised me that he was up 2 sets.

Nalbo was 40-0 when he was serving for match (5/2) and the he lost the game, I was a bit scared but then he could finish it.

Impressive!
Did Tursunov play that well in the first two sets or was Nalbandian just hitting tons of UEs? I only saw 1-2 games on Eurosport and noticed the immense speed in the rallys. Tursunov was really going for the winners in these.
