Lightbulb Davis Cup Semis

There is already one thread about Argentina v Russia but there is another semi... It might be less interesting, but its still the Davis Cup semi final.

I think the biggest question in the USA-France semi is: Who will Patrick Mc choose? Roddicks a sure thing, Blake seems in, but he has no other really decent players who can really play on clay & agree to play Davis Cup..

I think this is France's title.

Grosjean isn't 100% still after 4 months

Escude won't play if they choose clay

so that leaves Clement who isn't good on clay either

Mathieu and Santoro ???

I would go for Pioline and Grosjean in singles and Santoro/Llodra in doubles...

Eggy, a team that will have Grosjean & Santoro in singles & Santoro/Llodra (or Pioline) in doubles will still kick USA's ass i belive.

Funny things have happened in Davis Cup before.......

No result is certain until the last ball has been hit.

I never said the US cant win this one, but it will be very hard, if it was on hard courts or grass than the US would have probably be the faves.

Pete can win it on clay!!!

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)
