Re: Ancic's aftermatch

Capdeville complained to the umpire after the match point, then Ancic tried to shake hands and Capdeville refused, then they pushed each other before the umpire separated them, and Ancic slammed his racket on the floor... Anyone saw it?

Re: Ancic's aftermatch

I saw just the final, and I'm too
I was really surprised about Paul's behavior, it's not typical of him... I don't know what happened during the match.

Ancic def. Capdeville 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (3) Fight included!

At the third set tiebreaker on Mario's MP Capdeville complained of a double bounce to the Chair Umpire when the ref. had already announced the end of the match, then Ancic came on a really agressive mood (apparently Capdeville said something to him) and pushed him then the Ref. stood in the middle and Mario pushed the Referee! then he went to his chair threw a racquet and picked up his stuff...

I saw it.... a very bad ending of a very long match full of umpire errors... I understand why Capdeville was mad but to try to attack Ancic because of it is just idiotic.... Although this is very bad behaviour I hope Capdeville won't be fined a lot because he is a young player and he did played ok but he let his anger get to him...

Re: Ancic's aftermatch

First time I see this. I've seen some words being exchanged, etc. But these two were close to a fistfight if the umpire hadn't come down to separate them ! I wonder what happened during the match.

Re: Ancic's aftermatch

In chilean press said they talk calm minutes later, Paul apologizes and the misunderstanding was solved. It's seems that were many umpire errors and Paul became mad. At least it were resolved.
