R1 Surprises

At the end of first round, the only seeds out are: Nieminen (but on injury), ToJo (but out of competition, he just came back a few weeks ago), and the 2 Americans (Roddick on injury).

So, no real surprise there. As for the biggest surprise of the R1, I'd probably say Simon's defeat, given his season beginning...

Re: R1 Surprises

I dunno who it was, but someone took out Soderling. WOW, what a player. Is he new on the tour? Maybe he should get the award for biggest debut. Anyways, to me, that was the biggest shocker.

Re: R1 Surprises

Simon and Vliegen losing in R1 were the most "unexpected" results, and I didn't expect Bjorkman to lose in straight sets to Chardy as well.

Re: R1 Surprises

Vliegen for sure.

I like many tennis players including Ancic, Cilic, Djokovic, Gasquet, Monfils, Murray, Troicki, Tsonga
