I have lost all respect for Massu today. At 4-4* in the fifth set with Malisse serving at 15-15, Massu hit a deep ball and shouted "LONG" so Malisse thought it was out and let it go, but it went in and gave Massu a crucial point and momentum boost. What a cheating scumbag. Malisse even acknowledged it before he served, he said "Everybody knows you do stuff like this."

In what language did Massu yell? English? (Not that I doubt that Massu was an ass)

So sorry for Xavier... Looks like he put up quite a fight though. He had a really tough first round

Oh yeah...Nico hit the ball, and in the very short period of time that it took for the ball to go across the court Nico was able to position himself to see that he had a chance to confuse Malisse by yelling LONG and figured hey this is a way to cheat and win - so yelled LONG! In English....a language he only uses when he has to.

I have to re-play the match after Rafa's match is over, but there was one point where the announcers on ESPN said that Malisse was complaining that a person behind Nico stood up during the point, and he was complaining about it.

And complained between changeovers to the umpire that he didn't like all the noise the crowd was making.

It was a heavy topspin ball with little pace, he obviously saw that Malisse was unsure whether or not to go for it. Anyway, he either said OUT or LONG just as the umpire said it and it visibly confused Malisse.

Massu is no saint as you make him out to be, you go and criticize all players and chastise any player that is beating Massu or leading against him, but you refuse to acknowledge anything that he does wrong. Even during the Olympics, he was clearly taking minutes between points which was clearly against the rules.

Excuse me???

I've never even seen your name until today.

Name which players that I've dissed here.

One, I've never said Nico was a saint....nor do I want him to be.

And if you read my last post on Nico's board, I did criticize him. I said he was serving poorly, that his bh is terrible, and if he didn't improve in those areas, he'd lose against Max in the next round. Plus I criticized him strongly for blowing a 2 set lead.

So...now what's your point?

If you're upset that Malisse lost, sorry. I like Xavier. If it wasn't agianst Nico, I wouldn't want to see him blow a two break lead in the 5th set. But don't accuse Nico of cheating when he didn't just because you're upset about it.

I like both players but it was disappointing to see Massu do that in the fifth set, totally unnecessary.

You`re excused.
