ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

JCF, Kuerten, Coria and Federer are those who have actually had final appearances in all three events. A great list to be part of. I don't doubt Nadal will be added to the list if he enters Hamburg.

Thank you for the stats Sjenster. Your posts are always a pleasure

Ah, only the best scores in each tournament are counted. Would be more fun though if all scores were counted.

I wasn't sure either, but he has no official entry ranking on the ATP site, so....

Henman is so close to it...
SF in Monte Carlo and QF in Hamburg..
but lost in R16 in Rome FOUR times
im sure he'll do it this week however, all he has to do is beat Nadal in R16.
easy.

Good thread Sjengster, but I would suggest adding Roland Garros to the list of events. I mean, if you're talking about important events on clay, you can't despise the most important one.

Mantilla is about to be inactive sadly, but good work Sjengster.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: QFs at all claycourt Masters Series - active players only

Excellent thread

Perhaps we could extend it to include active players that have made the QF's or better in all 9 Master series events. Mind you, off the top of my head apart from Federer I can't think of anyone else.

I can't think of anyone else either.
David has got QF or better at Miami, Monte Carlo, Roma, Hamburg, Cincinatti, Toronto/Montreal and Madrid which only leaves Indian Wells and Paris.

Coria has got Montreal/Toronto, Madrid and Paris left to achieve.
