Why aren't the updated entry rankings available (as of 5.01.2004)?
As I know, last year's points from Adelaide, Doha and Chennai have been dropped so there is a change in rankings but still no information about it on ATP site. Any idea about where to find them?
But because of Olympics and the fact, that every year Monday was one day earlier (last year the season started on 30.12.2002) this year they had to make it a week later (instead of 29.12.2003), so all tournament points till Olympics will be dropped one week earlier. I hope I'm right. The same thing is on WTA. All the points gained by women at last year's Gold Coast and Auckland have already been taken off.
oh..... well hmmmmmm I don't know. The rankings do only say they're updated through 12/15/03 so maybe someone's forgotten to do it or something.
I'm sure someone here knows, or you can contact the ATP, they replied to a question I had once about rankings - there's a contact link at the bottom of their pages
this doesn't really make sense to me I guess lol... would they do it before the slams and TMS tourneys too? That could majorly change rankings for a lot of players (especially those who did well in said tournament) for a matter of a week or two.
edit: this is at Steve G Tennis site:
5/1:First update of rating is 12/1/2003. NEW INFO FROM ATP.

only reason i can think of.
the ATP dont want to cos they will get people confused with their pathetic Champions Race.
winner of Doha is the Farce Race No 1
