MC: Federer loses...

...in the doubles.

They were up against Bhupati/Stephanek so I am not so sad really. Bhupati is a top class doubles player.

I guess it is better because he has to be better prepared for the Gonzo onslaught.

Need ideas for a new signature...

Re: MC: Federer loses...

It's been a long time since he's won a big doubles title, so I kinda wanted him Monte-Carlo, but it'd be quite hard to do so, with so many big teams ahead in the draw. But still they got to win their first two matches of the season.

I hope they team up again in either Rome or Hamburg.

Time to rest up for the SF, Rogi! Good luck

Roger Federer

Richard Gasquet, Marcos Baghdatis, Tomas Berdych, Evgeny Korolev, Stanislas Wawrinka, Fabrice Santoro, Paul-Henri Mathieu, etc

Rogi was playing way too much tennis anyway. The body is not a machine. He needs to rest and prep for gonzo and (hopefully) a final spot...

It is nice to see federer playing doubles. I think it is very good practice for him aswell. I hope he tries to win a GS doubles title or two sometime during his career.
He should team up with Pete at Wimbledon!

Lol that has 1st round loss written all over it. Roger is good, but not THAT good. Even he can't face two opponents alone and still win...

If Rogi and Sampras were to team up for doubles now, Rogi would end up having to do all the work and inevitably they'd end up losing as effectively it would be two players against one. Pete wouldn't be a factor.Just a spectator in the match. Of course 5 years ago the opposite would have been true.

You mean all those matches lasting around one hour.

He should team up with Henman at wimbledon. Then at least Tim might get one chance to win something there.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game
