Re: JCF vs David Ferrer

Hrbaty is a joke. He had the match in his palms.

JCF should win this.

Don't you know Ferrer's specialty is coming back to win after being 0-4 down in the final set? See his match vs Gaudio at RG last year.

Ferrer leads Ferrero 2-1 in previous meetings, none on clay.

Chela is pretty poor on dirt.

Re: JCF vs David Ferrer

Can't see it being easy for either player - Ferrero has clearly picked up his form but Ferrer is a fighter and good on the red stuff - I will stick my neck out and say Ferrer in three.

Yeah, but at least Ferrero's gained some confidence. His scoreline in the tournament so far must have some impact on him.

Re: JCF vs David Ferrer

I'd want to say Ferrer because he's been the better player for ages now and actually leads their H2H, but JCF's run has been more impressive, if beating Tursunov and Chela with those scorelines on clay can be called such a thing, on the other hand though, Ferrer got one of the toughest draws in the tournament and as stated many times, he never dies.

Vamos David, I think he will pull it off 2 or 3 tight sets.

Eh? All his titles and his best GS result are on clay, I'm pretty sure he has his best career W/L record on that surface too. True, he didn't show up to work today with 12 winners to 40 UE, but certainly not a claycourt clown by any means.

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Re: JCF vs David Ferrer

Apart from reach the final in Acapulco, the last tournament he played on clay before this one, but don't let facts get in the way of a good argument.

Re: JCF vs David Ferrer

i dont wanna jinx juan carlos, so i wont make a prediction. JC will be more fresh for this match, he had two easy matches compared to David's pair of 3 setters, so maybe he will cope better if it goes the distance even though ferrer is known for his fighting qualities..
Good luck JC, vamos
