The Slam match win % still more important, etc.
Totally agree.

Dolgopolov 7-3
Baghdatis 11-6

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

This type of thing is too subjective, in my opinion. A great player having a bad match could extend a match he actually has no business drawing out. Conversely, someone who's playing well could inexplicably go away for a couple of sets only to return long enough to close out the fifth. You conceivably commend or chastise either player in either instance, making it an ineffective determinant.

In the end, as a poster above me eloquently suggested, the end result is what matters, and ultimately speaks more to the quality of the player.

Re: Best 5 Set Records Active Players Only. Djokovic new leader

If Federer was a beast in 5 setters then it would be a brilliant stat. Most of the time he doesn't need to go that far as he finishes matches before then.

At the same time he is clearly the current leader in coming back from 0-2 down to win in 5.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Is there a list of 5 set wins from 2-0 down for past and current players.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

Yes, try looking on page 1 or 2.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Here:
Best players coming back from a 0-2 set deficit / losing after a 2-0 set lead

To some people, I'm sure, but no, that would do nothing to diminish the subjectivity of the topic. You could make the most of a bad day, play outside yourself against someone much better than you, or squander your talents against someone beneath you and end up in a fifth set any which way. What generalization can be made about that?

Re: Best 5 Set Records Active Players Only. Djokovic new leader

Marin is 11:3 on Slams and 3:3 at Davis cup, so it's 14:6 actually. 3 out of 6 losses came on his beginnings. He won 9 out of last 10 matches. But, in almost all of that matches he was better ranked player.
And all that losses are cases: vs Simon, Murray and Seppi he was too young, vs Haas he waste MP, vs Berdych he was too tired of quaters of US Open, vs Nishikori he collapsed.

Tipsarevic 14-6

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Don't be naughty it's Borg 23-4.

Muller is 8-2 now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Really? I thought Borg was 26-6. Voo's numbers can generally be trusted (post #21):
5th set record

Do you disagree with him? If so, which matches should be removed?

Voo is right checking through all the results and 26-6 is better than Kriek in percentage.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
