Melbourne exhibition before the Australian Open

The Commonwealth Bank International will be played at Kooyong from January 14-17, as a lead up to the Australian Open.

The lineup includes:
Andre Agassi
Taylor Dent
Andy Roddick
David Nalbandian
Sebastien Grosjean
Roger Federer
Younes El Aynaoui
Robby Ginepri

I don't have draw details as of yet obviously, though I think it must be pretty bad if they need Ginepri 0-3 is looking good for him.

Knowing the groupings, it would probably be like:
Agassi
Nalbandian
Federer
Grosjean

The other
Roddick
Dent
El Ayanoui
Ginepri

Agassi has won this tournament a few times, so hopefully he wins this and not the big one.

Agassi often wins this and the AO as well. As always, theres only about 3 players I'd be interested in watching in that lineup.

No accounting for taste Exp, though there are only 4 of those players I would watch consistently.

And I thought Kooyong was just for the elite players
I wouldn't pay to see Dent or Ginepri

SINCE THERE'S NO TENNIS ACTION I WENT FOR TONGUE ACTION

*yawn*

There are only 3 people playing that I would actually bother to watch. Roger, Younes and Seb....go younes.....its a pity I can't stand everyother player besides those 3...I was considering going this year.

GOOD LUCK

Fernando Verdasco | Paul-Henri Mathieu | Richard Gasquet

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga | Marat Safin | Juan Carlos Ferrero | Carlos Moya | David Nalbandian | Mathieu Montcourt | Nicolas Mahut

Yeah I was considering going too, if there were any good matches that I couldnt see at the AO, but I dont think so, with the likes of Dent, Ginepri

Re: Re: Re: Melbourne exhibition before the Australian Open

Oh come on, they're hardly showcasing the likes of Spadea and Gimelstob, are they? Dent is always entertaining to watch because, like Mirnyi, he is one of the pure hustlers left in tennis, always trying to find a way into the net with variable results. I reckon he could have a very interesting match-up with the likes of Grosjean, El Aynaoui, Federer... Nalbandian and Agassi would pick him off comfortably though. Ginepri's game does appear to be Roddick-lite at times, but after seeing him play at IW and Miami last year I would certainly watch him again.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

You would think so, but an injured Taylor did give Andre a hell of a match at the USO this year.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

omg NO kidding..... that was turning out to be a great match. I love Andre but Taylor was playing well and if he was healthy and feeling ok he would've had a great shot at beating him.
