Best Backhand in Women's Tennis

Well? Who do you think has the best backhand in the womens game.

"I think that now and until the end of my career, I can really play with my mind at peace, and no longer hear that I've never won Roland Garros." - Roger Federer

well i think single hand is clearly justine but for double backhand ...

i'm not too sure if you guys have seen better but i think tanasugarn's doubles backhand is superb..she hits the ball with what seems to be the same strokes all the time but she ends up directing it away from the opponent...

i saw a live match once and the opponent often stands still when she hits the double backhand cos she ain sure whether to run to cover the down the line shot or the sharp cross court angle.....and normally what the opponent guess is wrong...

unfortunately her forehand ain that good or she would be a consistent top 20 player...

Don't be deceived by the rankings!! Coria, Roddick, Mirnyi, Schuettler, Fish, Safin, Henman, Tursunov, Ljubicic, Bovina, Li Na, Ivanovic, Chan YJ, Dementieva, Vinci, Sugiyama, Coetzer, Tanasugarn, Vaidisova, Zheng, Dokic and Kournikova are the world's best tennis players in the world!!!

Re: Best Backhand in Women's Tennis

Well there's been some long discussions about in @ WTA World.
Everybody know that the battle is between Justine & Venus, and you even didn't include Venus in the poll
I don't mind after all, for me Justine's is the best anuway

Re: Best Backhand in Women's Tennis

I think Venus should be included in this poll, definitely deserves it moreso than Serena, for example. I think Venus has the best double-handed backhand out there in the woman's field. Her dtl backhand is just laser-like.

But yea, this poll belongs in WTA World.

Re: Best Backhand in Women's Tennis

Agreed, Justine and Venus would battle it out, representing one and two hands respectively.

But almost all of the top women have excellent backhands.

justine's??? pfff -- maybe for a one hander...
monica seles has the best backhand of all time... no joke. i can understand how she's not in the poll since her ranking is low now... but her backhand is truly the best shot.
jennifer capriati in no way belongs on this poll.

Re: Best Backhand in Women's Tennis

No Venus or Lindsay?

Jennifer and Kim doesn't deserve spots on this poll since their forehands are clearly better than their backhands.
