Jules Marie retires from tennis (Now unretired)

Quote:
The middle of the court is sometimes ruthless. Some players may sweep the board when they are top of the podium and other desperate to reach the top. This is the case of Jules Mary. This 24-year-old is tired of the pro circuit. He told the newspaper Ouest-France: "I do not feel like spending money for tennis It was starting to bother me to ask my father to finance me I had less and less willing to take.. subway, train, plane, to lose a game and start. It is making use. I need to start my life as a man. " Yet the career of Caen has not been that low. In early 2015, he defeated Robin Haase and stands up to Go Soeda, both Top 100 "I believed at that moment. I felt that it could switch at any time. But I lacked consistency. On the circuit it must be at the top physically and mentally every week. This summer, I was tired, tired. " Last March, he had reached his best ranking: 228th.
Get well soon Somby!

I will remember him for being Sombrerero loco's favourite, being official sparring partner at 2014 WTF and taking part in a crowdfunding project.

Re: Jules Marie retires from tennis

It's sad to read that in early 2015 he still believed that he could make it and that less that 1 year after, he feels discouraged about life on the tour. But it's an understandable decision... Good luck to him in the after-tennis life.

Re: Jules Marie retires from tennis

He just needs to take some time off to fix some things

But seriously, I find it hard to believe that if you really wanted it, if you make top 200-300, you'd find a fucking way to make it happen. You have vultures playing Challengers until almost 40 years old. But now Jules Marie, who ought to be brought to justice for posting those stupid instagram pictures with the laughing face and him kicking back in a hotel in the South Pacific less than a month after asking for crowdfunding money , wants to retire at 24

But I guess I should be happy that nobody is as obsessed with being the best as I am

You must always strive to be the best but never believe you are.

Exactly. This is why Nadal always says: "He is the favorite, no?" Even when he plays someone on clay he should double bagel

This is why Djokovic practice his serve after winning in straights because he wasn't satisfied with it

Open de Caen
QF Tommy Robredo d. Jules Marie 6-4 6-1 (big crowd)

Marie had at least one more big match. Even beat Ouanna the previous round.

Jules is on the list for France F1. Maybe a title can change his mind?

Re: Jules Marie retires from tennis

So he basically announced he's leaving and he's not

It reminds me of a guy here who did the same thing on MTF... I can't remember exactly his name but I think he was a Marie fan hmm...
