Athens 2004

Jus curious....how will players be selected to represent their country in the Olympics....is there like a quota to how many players can represent their country?? are they gonna use the rankings system?? are points included in the final ranking points???

oh yah btw...who has won an olympic tennis medal for their country???

Q. As the older player, you don't feel like it's your role to go up to the younger players and talk to them first?

JEFF TARANGO: To say what? "Welcome to the locker room. Don't bend over for the soap."

Re: Athens 2004

I'm pretty sure they worked it out so that now the Olympics ARE worth points - I think I read 80CR points but that could be wrong.

Re: Athens 2004

yep there's a bronze medal match - it'd be like the losers from the two semifinals would play each other for the bronze.

Interesting.

For the record, and then I will go away. I hate tennis being part of the Olympics. I wish it weren't.

Re: Athens 2004

It is the whole bastardization of the Olympics. For some sports the Olympics is the biggest event possible. For baskeball, baseball, tennis, soccer, etc. It's not.
