Men's veteran tennis is alive

Very funny how many sell-outs there were in this weeks tournament won by Mcenroe. In the days of Mcenroe/Edberg/Becker/Stich/Connors and so many others, who used to play on faster courts than nowadays. Why are there so many sell-outs, in veterans tournaments.Must say big Mac looked in a good shape, Sampras needs to be in a good shape to beat Mcenroe.

Re: Men's veteran tennis is alive

Certainly is very much alive and kicking. The field at the Honda Classic was pretty hot, including 4 past GS champs. I went to the RAH on Thursday, and had a great day, including seeing Stich-Becker, McEnroe-Forget, and some very entertaing doubles with Mansour Bahrami.

Much like Agassi on the ATP tour, McEnroe gives away nearly 10 years to some of his rivals, and still hardly drops a set, quite impressive really.
