What is Tsonga's greatest win - AO 2008 SF vs Nadal or Wimbledon 2011 QF vs Federer ?

I'm not talking about the better win in terms of level, most of us would agree it's the Nadal one. I'm talking about the more beautiful one... First of all, I'd like to point out that those two wins are fantastic with a couple of stats :
- Federer hit 11 UEs in 5 sets (I know Wimbledon stats are usually 'nice' but that's still saying something), Nadal hit 12 UEs in 3 sets
- Federer had 1 break point in 5 sets, Nadal had 3 break points in 3 sets (all in the same game)

Tsonga himself said that the best match of his career was against Nadal but that the win over Federer at Wimbledon was the most prestigious one.

On one hand, beating Nadal in Melbourne allowed him to achieve his best ever Slam result. However, Federer is better on grass than Nadal is on hard court and that was the first time he lost from two sets up in a Slam. Federer already was a 6-time winner in Wimbledon and he was the bookmakers favorite for the title. At AO 2008, it was the first time Nadal could become #1, which would have been the case if he had beaten Tsonga and Djokovic to take the title.

In my opinion, defeating Federer at Wimbledon is Tsonga's greatest win. What do you think ?

Federer was beyond awful in that Tsonga match. Nothing can erase how he started hitting only in the middle of the court midway through the match.

Beating Fed is always a wonderful experience... like taking a shit on Stalin's desk.

But how he routined Nadal in Melbourne... we can't even think of an equivalent in today's tennis, it basically came out of nowhere. Tsonga was totally, to-tall-y irrelevant before... and then BOOM, he was just there, making a statement.

This is a joke right? AO 08 hands down. What a dismantle. Clinical and beautiful. One of the most artful roasts of all time.

Fed was clearly past his prime in 2011, no way prime Fed gives up a 2 set lead vs Tsonga on grass. Fed just forgot how to play after the first two sets.

Not sure how a true fed fan can't see it. I'm baffled. Is this your inner Tsonga tard talking?

I get what you are trying to say op. You mean which one was more impressive, right?

His AO win was greater since it allowed him to play the final of a Grand Slam, but his win over Federer on Grass at Wimbledon is more impressive, no doubt.

Like you said, in terms of better performance, it was against Nadal, but more impressive and more memorable for Tsonga I believe would be his win against Federer, because beating Federer on Wimbledon grass is much more impressive than beating Nadal on AO HC. and Fed wasn't awful in the QF, Tsonga was just playing lights out tennis.

Federer stopped winning like before because there's way more baseline tennis than then and players who can defend ridiculously well. He couldn't play how he did before. The competition also just got tough. And the game a way more physical sport. I mean the physical toll it takes to go through a full year would naturally cause more upsets alone. Do Fedtards ever think about that...

The game changed and Federer had to evolve... He simply was never as good as he's made out to be by Fedtards.

Who cares, he didn't win the tournament either time, so those wins didn't lead to anything. I'll bet you Jo would say himself his win over Fed in the 2014 Toronto Masters final is his greatest win.
