Tue Feb 28, 12:59 PM ET
An American wheelchair player has been banned for 3-1/2 months by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) after testing positive for cannabis.

David Buck, 46, from Silverado, California, tested positive with a sample given at the U.S. Open wheelchair championships in San Diego in October, the ITF said in a statement on Tuesday.

I don't think that is going too far. Taking his wheelchair to ensure that he doesn't play for the specified time, THAT would be going too far.

Banning people for smoking pot is stupid.

Ban him from using the wheelchair!! If people get banned for drinking and using a cycle! This guy should be banned

And no its not to far, anyone taking drugs should be banned! Even if they are just a junky with drug problems, and it isnt a performance enhancer.

People should be praised for using cannabis, not banned.

Re: Ok, is this going too far?

It shouldn't be illegal. But whatever...rules are rules.

As for things that should be banned:

1. Players over the age of 35

2. Dopers

3. Fat girlfriends *cough cough* Mirka....

4. Doubles Tennis

It is necessary for some stuff, i know you have seen measure theory so imagine cannabis delivered when a professor goes through the proof of Karatheodori's extention theorem, that would be a total blast
