Well played, Radek. Celebration was nice too, straight into the other guy's face, Sptepanek style

Oh, I wish I'd watched this on the live stream.... Sex Machine v Shark in the final, pretty please, o tennis gods?

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Hope Novak's hip is okay... it seemed to affect him for a few games there in the 2nd set, but he played through it.

Still a good tournament for Nole, should move up to 62-ish in rankings

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Radek's attitude is more disgusting than his face, which means a lot...

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."

What attitude? You mean hitting overheads into the body and celebrating "in your face"? It's part of the game. For example he doesn't cheat with line calls and shakes hands after matches, what more do you expect?

As a player i like Radek, really enjoy watching him play...but he really doesnt do himself any favours with his sportsmanship. Suppose the game would be dull without characters though...

Good match, some great long rallies.

Too bad Novak couldn't take it, he was so close. I hope the hip isn't too bad.

Radek's attitude is so annoying.

I'm allergic to morons.

I watched this match, well most of it until the feed started freezing. Novak was injured early and had trouble moving and Stepanek had no resistance on serves. In the 3rd, I thought Novak had him and was playing better but somehow let it slip and now I understand why Stepanek isn't popular because he was obnoxious out there with his petulant behaviour.
