Way to blow it serving for the match at 5-4 Schittler.

Lucky beggar Andy, I could see the ludicrously overreacting headlines in GM when he was down a break in the second set. Will need a better performance tomorrow, Bjorkman and Kiefer are both great indoors and for different reasons are both riding high on confidence, sadly not something you can say of Schuettler.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Kiefer has a virus, and really should not play this event....

I could see Bjorkman possibly beating Andy tomorrow.. hope he proves me wrong.

Still he won anyway

I am BUOH, warrior of heart and soul.

Rainer just too weak and doesn't have the deciding confidence to serve out such a match. It's a bad prospect for him when seeing him struggling every week so badly, no matter who and where, atp or challengers, he is playing.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

What's the problem? it would have been unsurprising if he had lost given the week he just had. The fact is he refused to lose and came through. He'll play better tomorrow.

GWay to come back, Andy. I 'm sure he's tired and sort of nervous and distracted...way to tough it out.

Oh, and Sjengster, your sig quote is f-ing hilarious.

Re: Murray Def. Schuettler 1-6, 7-5, 6-2

It is a good thing that Murray played Schuettler in this match, a fairly easy draw allowed him to play badly for a while and shake of the rust of his title win without being knocked out. I expect to see him back in full flow tomorrow.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

[QUOTE=gusman890]yeah, he was a whee rusty from the finals the other sunday.[/QUOTE

it's not rust.. it was the late night partying and bonking with Kim and then the jet lag from his flight over that's caught him out

Please see here if interested in downloading tennis matches.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a Rafa hater. I am, however, a RAFATARD hater and therefore take endless delight in each Rafa loss as it allows me to sock it hard to his tards. Do try and understand the difference (TARDS)! Don't get me started on Choke-ovic though. Him I do despise. And his TARDS are the lowest of the low .
