He's also been referred to as "the Netherlands' finest all-courter", which may be true in his own country but he is certainly no net-rushing serve-volley specialist.
Brilliant! Saying that Schalken has a big serve is like saying Roddick is a favourite for Roland Garros.
Schalken is the best Dutch all-rounder though (having won tournaments on every surface and every continent), but given his competition here atm, that doesn't account for much!
