McEnroe/Bjorkman d. Thomas/Goldstein

McEnroe/Bjorkman d. Thomas/Goldstein 7-6(2) 4-6 1-0(7)

Great job Jonny Mac and and Jonas, McEnroe really sparked my interest in doubles this week. Amazing how a 47 year old man (he had a great partner) can win the tournament in his first pro doubles match in several years.

Good fight to Paul and Jim.

Wow! No wonder doubles is getting shafted. Good win though.

Need ideas for a new signature...

And we aren't joking, unlike you.

But ahem, congratulations to McEnroe and Bjorkman, they went through a couple tough matches in the semi-finals and the finals - it would be cool if they could play at the Grand Slams!

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Pure greatness from JMAC.

How does the old tennis adage go? "The best doubles team in the world is J. McEnroe and whoever he chooses as his partner."

Re: McEnroe/Bjorkman d. Thomas/Goldstein

I'm glad but I gotta say he can head back to the seniors tour anytime now that this title is out of the way. Final was a lot closer than I imagined so congrats to Goldstein and Thomas.
