Marseille Final: Who will Win Mario Ancichoke or Arnaud "Lackey" Clement?

Who will win this unexpected Marseille final?

The organisers must be happy a Frenchie is in the final and it wouldn't be the one they expected and Clement has a huge chance to win against Ancic who has lost finals to illuminaries such as Wayne Arthurs, Moodie and Dupuis when a huge favourite.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

As George said, Mario has lost worse than that but i hope he prevails, otherwise Clement will believe himself to be the incarnation of the Greek God Apollo

Ancic will crush Clement like he did in Adelaide this year (6:0 6:2)

6:1 6:3 this time.

Re: Marseille Final: Who will Win Mario Ancichoke or Arnaud "Lackey" Clement?

As a matter of course you have to expect Ancic's level will drop in the final. Clement's ability to retrieve should also frustrate Ancic who will have to hit more shots to to end points. I think it will go 3 but I like Clement's chances as I think the French crowd will also intimidate Ancic. If Ancic was not such a headcase you would have to favour him.

I tend to think the game has passed Clement by a bit but in tennis you never know when things are going to go your way.

Cool Re: Marseille Final: Who will Win Mario Ancichoke or Arnaud "Lackey" Clement?

I guess Clement in 3.Ancic doesn't have a good record in final and Clement gets crowd support.I always think Frenchman plays extra well in front of his countymen - even the biggest choker in here seems better too.

Cheer for: Wawrinka Murray Ljubicic Gonzalez Mahut Nishikori Soderling Tipsarevic Mathieu Monfils Muller Tsonga Berdych Acasuso O.Rochus Kiefer...

This isn't a 1st round in Adelaide - a final in your opponents home country and a long history of shaking in the big moments - I don't see Ancic being that together with so much on the line. Mario's got the game as he proved in Adelaide but not the rest as he has proved on countless other occasions. He could pull it out but dominate? I highly doubt it.

Re: Marseille Final: Who will Win Mario Ancichoke or Arnaud "Lackey" Clement?

Please do it this time, Ancic!

I'm predicting Ancic in three!!
(but my predictions normally suck but still, don't worry Ancic fans, when I'm predicting in three, I still can be wrong and Ancic can win in two, so I don't jinx him I hope )

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

As much as I don't like Clement, he is at least 2 steps above the guys that Ancic has lost to in finals.

Just hope Mario can make it 2-5 in finals.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

At 5'9 he would be more like a miniature reproduction don't you think?

A very cute miniature, yes
