About these Greek/Cypriotic group of supporters, I also thought that they went a bit overboard, especially in the match against Stepanek of which I saw the fifth set, when they cheered and applauded every single serve fault of Stepanek. Doing this so consistently, that's a bit shabby in my opionion, but okay, I've seen worse things a already...
I don't dislike Baghdatis, but I want Andy to win this and to progress far in the tournament, so I hope he slams down a ton of 140mph aces to make them shut up at the right time when they become too annoying!
They are certainly loud and do go overboard
I sat amongst them "by accident" once - never again
By the time I realised how noisy they were gong to be the whole court had filled up (it was unreserved seating at Roland Garros) and there was nowhere else for me to go....but they drove me crazy. And I agree about the applauding doubles faults etc - I hate this from any audience, anywhere in the world - it's shabby and totally unsporting in my opinion, no matter whether it's Cypriots, French, South Americans, Spaniards, Americans or whoever are doing it
I'm not a fan of Andy and will be supporting Baghdatis, but I hope the crowd are fair and don't give Andy a hard time.
