(7)I.Ljubicic def C.Guccione: 7-6(5) 6-4 7-6(3)

Good Start.

Stat of the Match: Ljubo- Winners:50 UE:9

Ivan had *3-2 in 3rd, got a little sloppy

Didnt really serve at his normal top speed, but didnt really need to.

Ljubo won 79/102 pts on Serve/ with weak serve

Dang that winner to ue ratio is crazy. Surprising he didn't win more comfortably. Do you know why?

I guess Roddick must be the greatest player to ever play the game.

He didn't have too many aces. Also Ljubcic can't use 130 mph serves to break his opponent and I assume he wasn't broken too many times.

Because Guccione served very well and Ivan didnt have too many looks on his serve.

well his serve speed was not just down, his overall game, nice and easy pace, making Gucci miss shots. and not go for anything big.+ Gucci can bring it on serve got the breaks and TB pts when needed

That makes sense, but a win is a win.

i like Ljubicic he plays smart & has some decent weapons
would be interesting to see how he would fare at GS after the year he has had
expectation must be a little higher now
best of luck for him
he will play the winner of Dlouhy / Kholschreiber
