Exclamation Swiss DC Coach Dies in Car Accident

I just saw this on ESPN. I'll try to find an article or something . . . It said he died in a car accident, and that he was 37.

from ESPN.com:

Friday, August 2

Carter dies in traffic accident
Reuters

BIEL, Switzerland -- Peter Carter, coach of Switzerland's Davis Cup team, died Thursday of injuries sustained in a car accident while on vacation in South Africa.

Swiss Tennis said Carter crashed early Thursday, but gave no other details.

"The news of his death has come as a complete shock to all of us,'' federation president Christine Ungricht said.

Carter, 37, had trained Swiss star Roger Federer before taking over as coach of the Davis Cup and national men's teams last November.

That's terrible news! It makes something like tennis and Roger Federer's slump seem totally insignificant. And it is.

This is very sad news indeed. Hope it doesn't affect Roger's tennis, which at the moment is not grooving on...

Sorry for talking about Roger's tennis here... it is tackless.

May his soul rest in peace.

Some body told me you'd found new bonhomie
Going places you'd never go with me
I felt myself become a bitter old shrew
Oh id have bitten you in two if you would let me

Somebody told me youd found places to go
new people to know, new ladies and so
I felt myself become a bitter old shrew
Id have bitten her too, if you would let me

It's okay, Mrs. B. This man was Roger's trainer until he took over the DC and national teams, so I think his tennis is relevant. I think I'm the one who brought it up, in fact

RIP Peter Carter!!

All my thought are with his wife, the family, the players and swiss tennis.

Apparently a burning tyre was the cause for the accident which happened 450 km north of Johannesburg on the way to the Krueger National Park. The driver and Carter were death right away. His wife and friends were in an other car.

Theres been no mention of this by Pat and Cliff even though they've talked about Roger a few times. I wonder why.....
