Rivalries 2006

I am curious what rivalries folks here would like to see not what is expected to happen. For example I was surprised that although Muster and MacEnroe overlapped they had never played each other until recently in the Champions Cup.
I haven't decided yet but I know there are lots of tennis afficiandos here.( My spelling be damned)

Thanks to those who take the time to answer.

Re: Rivalries 2006

Safin vs. Nadal
Safin vs. Berdych
Hewitt vs. Nadal (they haven't played after Nadal's "explosion")
Rodick vs. Nadal (see above)
Nalbandian vs. Nadal
Coria vs. Gaudio (a re-match of the RG final would be nice)
...

All great choices! Thanks!
Now we will have to see if any come true and how often

Fergie- for Gonzalez vs Nadal? Hard or clay or doesn't matter? I would like to see it on clay.

Re: Rivalries 2006

Problem is, (1) rivalries take years to develop, and (2) they require players to play the same tournments. For instance, when Sampras, Agassi and Muster were in their prime in 1995, Sampras and Agassi met 5 times (12 times between '94 and '96). However...
*Sampras and Muster met just 1 time in '95 (2 times between '94 and '96)
*Agassi and Muster didn't meet in '95 (5 times between '94 and '95)

Having said that...
Gasquet/Nadal (non-clay events; 3 of the 4 times they've met have been on clay)
Hewitt/Roddick (I'd like to see Andy get back into this head-to-head)
Berdych/Nadal
Safin/Berdych
Safin/Gonzalez
Safin/Starace (clay)
Hanescu/Nadal (clay)
Federer/Nadal (clay)
Gaudio/Nadal (clay)
Hewitt/Coria*
Coria/Massu*

*pure entertainment value

Exactly which is why I said what you would like to see. So these could be rivalries started in 2006 and continued I like all of your picks btw, thanks.
